Daniele Maldini Joins “Cagliari”: A New Chapter in His Career

Attacking midfielder Daniel Maldini continues his soccer journey by joining Cagliari in Sardinia. According to Glavkom, this transfer took place following an agreement with Atalanta, where Maldini spent the previous season.

The Sardinian club has signed the player on a one-season loan for 1 million euros, with an option to buy for 8 million. Maldini is the son of the legendary Paolo and the grandson of Cesare; however, unlike his ancestors, he left AC Milan earlier.

After the 2021–22 season with AC Milan, Daniel moved between several clubs, playing for Spezia, Empoli, Monza, Atalanta, and Lazio. In 2024, he made his debut for the Italian national team.

Last season, Maldini appeared in 25 matches, scored two goals, and recorded three assists. His contract with Atalanta runs through the summer of 2029.

Meanwhile, Inter parted ways with several players, including Sommer, Acerbi, de Vrij, and Darmian, whose contracts expired on June 30.

It is also worth noting that Bologna has appointed Domenico Tedesco as head coach, signing him to a two-year contract with an option to extend.
