In the Odesa region, efforts are underway to restore power following a massive Russian attack that took place on the night of August 9. Over the past 24 hours, utility workers have restored power to 226,700 customers, according to Glavkom, citing Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
According to DTEK Odesa Power Grids, power has been restored to nearly all critical infrastructure facilities. Two-thirds of the households affected by the Russian strike now have power. Repair crews are working around the clock to restore power to the remaining customers as quickly as possible. Efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.
As a reminder, Russian troops continue to attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. As of the morning of August 10, consumers in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions remain without power. Ukrenergo reports new power outages in these regions due to shelling. In the Odesa region, repair work is actively underway to restore power following a rocket and drone attack on Saturday night.
At the same time, residents of the Odesa region are urged to conserve electricity to avoid overloading the equipment that is now back in operation following the attack.
