Budanov considers the conflict with Poland a serious mistake

Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President, expressed concern over the current tensions between Ukraine and Poland, calling them a “serious mistake.” According to him, the situation could become even more complicated. This was reported by “Glavkom,” citing his speech to students at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

“I believe that the scandal with Poland is a serious mistake. And a very dangerous one,” Budanov noted.

He emphasized that at present, there are only disagreements between Ukraine and Poland, not a conflict. “This is not yet the peak of the tension, but the situation could worsen if we don’t stop,” he added.

In addition, Budanov spoke about future relations with Russia, noting that Ukraine will always share a border with the aggressor, and we must be prepared for this. “This territory will always be our neighbor. We need to prepare for this,” he said.

He also commented on reports of alleged mass migration to Ukraine, calling them a disinformation campaign. Budanov emphasized that Ukraine is a historically tolerant country where different ethnic groups and religions coexist peacefully, and that conflicts on this issue are artificial.

When asked about the possibility of creating a structure in Ukraine similar to Israel’s Mossad to pursue Russian criminals, Budanov replied, “What is there to create? It already exists.”

Earlier, Budanov stated that the decision to open the first negotiation cluster regarding Ukraine’s accession to the European Union confirms the state’s resilience and the steadfastness of its European course.
