A 44-year-old Ukrainian man, believed to be a prominent criminal figure, was detained in the Polish capital. The operation was carried out by the Polish police in cooperation with the Internal Security Agency.
According to information provided by the police in Warsaw’s Wola district, the man was wanted and was in Poland illegally. He will be deported from the country.

Law enforcement agencies were able to determine his temporary whereabouts through investigative measures. The man was found and detained at a hotel in Warsaw.
The investigation revealed that the detainee held a high-ranking position in post-Soviet organized crime and had previously been convicted of serious crimes, such as murder. He was involved in criminal groups and conflicts between them.
Further Actions
After completing all necessary procedural steps, the man was handed over to Border Guard Service officers in Warsaw. It was decided that he is prohibited from staying in the Schengen Area.
