According to Grigorov, the enemy carried out yet another cynical attack on the city. Two guided bombs struck a crowded area where civilians were present and where cars and public transportation were traveling. A road and a public transit stop were at the epicenter of one of the explosions.
Another strike targeted an infrastructure facility. As the head of the Regional Military Administration noted, the Russians continue to try to destroy the city’s life-support systems. “The enemy clearly understood that civilians would also be hit,” Grigorov emphasized.
Number of Dead and Injured
Four people were killed in the attack, including a child. The number of injured has risen to 17, three of whom are in serious condition. Newly injured people continue to arrive at hospitals.
The blast wave damaged high-rise buildings around the impact sites. Hundreds of windows and balcony frames were shattered.
Cleanup efforts will begin as soon as the security situation allows. Grigorov assured that all those affected will receive the necessary assistance.
