The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to allocate 187.6 million hryvnias from the Fund for Eliminating the Consequences of Armed Aggression to restore 33 apartment buildings in the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on Facebook, noting that the funding will be directed directly to local budgets. This will allow for the prompt conduct of construction tenders and the procurement of necessary building materials, which will help more than 4,000 residents return to their homes.
The allocated funds will be used to restore three apartment buildings in Kryvyi Rih, carry out major repairs on 20 residential buildings in Sumy, and restore 10 damaged buildings in the Kyiv region.
The reconstruction process is under constant supervision by the relevant ministries and local governments, ensuring the effective use of budget funds.
The Fund for Eliminating the Consequences of Armed Aggression was established to finance projects related to the construction, reconstruction, and major repairs of critical infrastructure and housing stock, which is vital for the social protection of the population affected by the war.
