On October 27, the Ukrainian Cup Round of 16 match between Shakhtar and Dynamo Kyiv will take place at Arena Lviv in Lviv. This match will be a crucial step for both teams in this year’s tournament.
In the previous round, Shakhtar easily defeated the Transcarpathian club Vilkhivtsi 3–0, demonstrating their strength on the field. Dynamo, on the other hand, secured a narrow 1-0 away victory over Niva from Vinnytsia.
This is not the first time both teams have faced each other in the Round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup. Last season, "Dynamo" also faced "Shakhtar" at this stage and won 2–1, which adds intrigue to the upcoming match.
The current Ukrainian Cup champion is Dynamo, which defeated Chernihiv in last season’s final to win the trophy for the first time in 14 years. However, Shakhtar remains the leader in terms of titles, with 15 victories in this tournament.
The Shakhtar vs. Dynamo match will kick off at 6:00 p.m., and a live video broadcast will be available on the day of the match. Both teams are eager to showcase their best qualities and advance to the next round of the Ukrainian Cup.
