Russian troops are stepping up their assaults near Dobropillya

Russian infantry have intensified their assaults in the Dobropillya sector of Donetsk Oblast, seeking not only to capture Dobropillya but also to occupy the entire Donetsk Oblast.

This was reported by Dmytro, an officer with the “Phoenix” Main Department of Unmanned Systems, whose call sign is “Tita,” who noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in control of the situation in Dobropillia and that statements by the Russian command regarding its capture are false.

The military officer emphasized that Russian propaganda is attempting to create the impression of an “occupation” of Dobropillia for domestic consumption, in order to reassure the population and senior officials who believe in their successes on Ukrainian territory.

"Tita" also emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are doing everything possible to thwart the occupiers’ plans to capture Dobropillia and cut off Ukrainian military logistics.

In the Dobropillia sector, the Russian army is using “deep infiltration” tactics, attempting to enter the city unnoticed, raise the tricolor flag there, and film footage of the supposedly “occupied” Dobropillia.

The invaders are attempting to bypass the city from the south and north, rather than attacking it directly.
