Russian agent exposed: attack on Ukrainian Armed Forces and militant’s hideout in Donetsk region

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has exposed and detained a Russian Federation agent in the Donetsk region who was assisting the occupiers. During the operation, a Russian militant hiding in her home was also neutralized.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing information from the SBU on Telegram.

Details of the arrest

According to the SBU, a Russian soldier with the call sign "Shaman" infiltrated the territory of Lyman to reconnoiter the positions of Ukrainian defense forces. In Lyman, he made contact with a local woman who was hiding him in her home.

The woman assisted the militant by directing enemy fire at Ukrainian troops in Lyman and its surroundings. Under the guise of going for walks, she surveyed the area and relayed the geolocations of Ukrainian positions to the militant, who then transmitted this data to his command via radio.

It is known that “Shaman” served in the 31st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 67th Motorized Rifle Division of the 25th Army of Russia’s Central Military District. The SBU documented the reconnaissance activities of the enemy “duo” and took measures to ensure security.
