This week, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, deploying over 3,000 drones, more than 1,450 guided aerial bombs, and 40 different types of missiles. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Facebook page, according to Ukrinform.
“This week alone, Russia deployed over 3,000 attack drones against our cities and communities, a significant portion of which were ‘Shahed’ drones. Over 1,450 guided aerial bombs and 40 different missiles were also launched. The Russians are not reducing the intensity of the war against our state and people, investing in prolonging the conflict, which leads to global destabilization,” Zelenskyy noted.
The President emphasized that the same strike drones and ballistic missiles are striking countries in the Middle East and the Gulf region, causing destabilization of global markets and the blocking of sea lanes. Ukraine is contributing to ensuring security and calls for coordinated action to protect lives and stop the war.
“We must create joint, modern defense systems that have been battle-tested. We must develop the production of effective weapons and pool our capabilities to ensure peace in Europe, the Middle East, and throughout the world,” the President added.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian experts have already assessed Qatar’s capabilities to counter air threats and developed specific solutions to strengthen air defense.
