Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander missiles and hundreds of drones

On the night of April 24, Russian occupiers launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, firing two ballistic missiles and 107 drones, about 70 of which were "Shahed" drones. Ukraine's air defense forces successfully shot down 96 drones.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

Details of the night attack

The attack began at 6:00 p.m. on April 23. The aggressor used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region and 107 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types. The drones were launched from the following locations: Shatalovo, Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as from Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The Ukrainian sky was defended by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Air Defense Results

As of 08:00, 96 enemy drones had been neutralized or suppressed in the north, south, and east of the country. The Air Force reported the interception of two ballistic missiles and 10 strike drones in 9 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed drones in two locations.

Russia’s air attacks continue, and several drones are currently in Ukrainian airspace.

As a reminder, the Russian army also attacked Odesa with strike drones last night.
