Residents of the Kyiv region came across a dangerous object that turned out to be part of a Russian drone. Specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine’s Main Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Center promptly retrieved and neutralized it.
The suspicious object was found in a forest in the Vyshhorod district. It appeared to be a fragment of an unmanned aerial vehicle.
Identification of the find
State Emergency Service pyrotechnicians confirmed that the find is a combat component of a “Geran-2” drone. Afterward, the explosive object was transported to a specially equipped demolition site, where it was destroyed by a controlled detonation.
Other cases
It should be noted that a Russian drone was also found in the Boryspil district, whose warhead remained undetonated and posed a threat. A similar find was discovered in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, where police seized the dangerous object in a forest belt at the entrance to the city.
