Well-known Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova was invited to a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada’s Temporary Investigative Commission. The celebrity announced this on her Instagram blog, as reported by “Glavkom.”
Polyakova posted a screenshot of the document containing her invitation to participate in the meeting, which concerns an investigation into possible violations of the law by state and local government authorities.
Reasons for the Invitation
The document states that the star is being asked to appear at the meeting to provide testimony or explanations regarding the observance of human rights and freedoms under martial law. The commission is investigating possible violations of the law in the areas of defense and anti-corruption efforts.
The invitation is signed by the commission’s chairman, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko. Polyakova has not yet disclosed any details and commented briefly on the news, saying only: “It’s finally happened…”
