Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi held a meeting with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, during which they discussed strategic cooperation in the energy sector. In particular, they discussed diversifying liquefied natural gas supplies and supporting Ukraine in its preparations for the winter.
Koretsky reported on the results of the meeting on his Facebook page, noting the importance of such discussions for both countries.
Support for Defense Cooperation and Sanctions
In addition to energy, the prime ministers discussed expanding defense cooperation, implementing the Drone Deal initiative, and strengthening sanctions against Russia. Koretsky thanked Lithuania for its continued support of Ukraine and expressed hope for further cooperation during Lithuania’s presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2027.
The prime minister noted: “Our government will work to accelerate reforms aimed at Ukraine’s European integration.”
Invitation to Ukraine
Koretsky invited Sinkevičius to visit Ukraine in the near future to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Earlier, as reported by Ukrinform, President Zelenskyy noted that the new government’s key tasks are preparing for winter and fulfilling international agreements.
