Taras Kachka, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, held a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. During the talks, they discussed issues related to European Union enlargement, bilateral cooperation, and regional development.
In a post on Platform X published by Kachka, he noted that the parties exchanged views on the future of EU enlargement policy and emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in the accession process. “Political signals from EU member states are very important for candidate countries,” the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
Kachka stated that Ukraine supports initiatives that can accelerate integration processes and facilitate faster progress toward EU membership.
Other Important Issues
The meeting also addressed the conclusion of negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Serbia. Kachka expressed gratitude to Serbia for its openness to deepening bilateral dialogue.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also discussed bilateral relations with Aleksandar Vučić.
