Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the successful completion of a large-scale special operation during which Ukrainian drones struck Russian strategic military and logistical targets located up to a thousand kilometers from the front line. He emphasized that due to the Kremlin’s refusal to pursue diplomatic solutions, Ukraine is forced to use force to compel peace. This was reported by Glavkom, citing Zelenskyy’s statements.
“The time has come to end this war. However, the Russian leadership has chosen to continue hostilities. Therefore, Ukrainian sanctions are being imposed against this aggression. Last night, our drones traveled about 1,000 km to St. Petersburg, attacking the enemy Navy’s arsenals and a base in Kronstadt. Our long-range strikes also traveled 500 km to the Krasnodar region, striking an oil depot,” Zelenskyy noted.
The President separately noted that these successes were made possible by the joint and coordinated efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
“These are important results of the cooperation between the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Main Intelligence Directorate. It is time for Russia to end its war and stop attacking civilians. Any unjust actions against Ukraine will receive an appropriate response. I thank our soldiers for their accuracy,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
It is known that on the night of June 6, simultaneously with massive drone attacks on Kronstadt and targets in St. Petersburg, a large-scale fire with prolonged detonations broke out in the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation.
