Israel has established a secret base in Iraq to support operations against Iran

Israel established a secret outpost in the Iraqi desert to support its military campaign against Iran. This facility served as a logistics hub for the Israeli Air Force.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Israeli military stationed special forces at the outpost, as well as search-and-rescue teams to rescue pilots in the event of downed aircraft.

Israeli airstrikes kept Iraqi troops at bay as they attempted to investigate unusual military activity reported by a local shepherd. Iraqi media highlighted helicopter flights in the region.

In March, Iraq filed a complaint with the UN, accusing foreign forces of carrying out airstrikes against its troops, which were attributed to the U.S. However, sources claim that the United States did not participate in these actions.
