A documentary has been posted on the "Apostrophe TV" YouTube channel, chronicling the recovery of the village of Ivangorod in the Chernihiv region following its occupation and decline. Local residents and business owners have joined forces to help their community get back on its feet.
Like many others in Chernihiv Oblast, the village suffered from the economic crisis of the 1990s, unemployment, and poor transportation links. For a long time, government agencies were unable to resolve the issue of the village’s dilapidated access road, so entrepreneurs Mykhailo and Andrii Reva took it upon themselves to repair the road. They restored the road and organized bus routes to the nearest train station.
In addition, the Revy family funded the renovation of the local school and kindergarten, restored an old church, and built sports fields for soccer, chess, and shooting competitions.
At the same time, the local enterprise “Ivangorodskoye” developed, transforming from a farm into an agricultural complex with a closed-loop grain storage system, as well as a hunting reserve dedicated to restoring wildlife.
The film focuses particularly on the events of 2022. During the occupation and blockade, despite the shelling, Reva’s entrepreneurs supported the territorial defense and delivered humanitarian aid, supplying the village with food and medicine. The documentary is now available on the “Apostrophe TV” YouTube channel.
