Members of the "ATESH" partisan movement conducted reconnaissance at a military airfield near the town of Saki in the village of Novofedorivka, which is temporarily occupied by Russia. This information was reported by "Glavkom."
During the reconnaissance, the current locations of Su-30 fighter jets were recorded, including their parking areas, shelters, and movement routes across the base. In addition, data was collected on infrastructure facilities supporting the airbase’s operations.
The partisans identified the locations of refueling complexes, maintenance and repair areas, as well as air defense positions around the airfield. Furthermore, the frequency and intensity of aircraft flights were recorded.
Agents also tracked the movement routes of personnel and specialized equipment between base facilities, allowing for an assessment of logistics and the level of combat activity.
The report notes that Su-30 fighters at this airfield serve as primary interceptors. They counter Ukrainian naval and aerial drones targeting Crimea and facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Thus, the airbase in Saki provides a critical component of air defense for Russian forces on the peninsula. The gathered information has been forwarded to the Ukrainian Defense Forces for analysis and decision-making.
The airfield in Novofedorivka near Saki is one of the main bases of Russian military aviation in occupied Crimea. In August 2022, explosions occurred at this facility, resulting in significant damage.
