Explosions at the Ufa Oil Refinery: Black Smoke Over the City

This morning in the Russian city of Ufa, located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a series of explosions occurred at an oil refinery, after which thick black smoke rose over the city. RBC-Ukraine reported this, citing Exilenova+.

Details of the incident

According to preliminary information, the first explosions occurred around 9:30 a.m. Kyiv time. Local residents note that two of the city’s three oil refineries were targeted in the attack, which may have been carried out by drones.

Strategic importance

This oil refinery complex is one of the largest and most critical centers of the oil industry in Russia, playing a vital role in supplying the country with fuel. The complex is located approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Photos and videos from the scene are being widely shared on social media, but there has been no official confirmation of the attacks yet.
