Arsenal is preparing a record-breaking squad overhaul worth 250 million

Instead of signing a large number of mid-tier players, Arsenal will focus on targeted—but very expensive—top-tier transfers. The club is in excellent financial shape and is ready to pay for quality.

Where will the 250 million go? The Londoners’ main targets

Arsenal’s first transfer has already officially taken place. Defender Piero Incapie is now a full-fledged member of the Gunners. The London club has already paid 35 million pounds for the permanent transfer.

But Mikel Arteta’s main goal is to strengthen the midfield and attack. Currently, the London club is already in active negotiations for three key targets, whose transfers are expected to total around 250 million pounds:

  • Bruno Guimarães, Newcastle—the Brazilian midfielder remains the number one priority, with a price tag of around 100 million pounds.
  • Morgan Rogers, Aston Villa – Arsenal scouts are actively monitoring the English forward, and Morgan himself reportedly isn’t opposed to moving to North London. But Unai Emery does not want to sell his star player, so the asking price for Rogers could exceed 100 million pounds.

In addition to these stars, the Gunners are also targeting 18-year-old Moroccan talent Ayub Bouaddi and Atlético Madrid’s star player Julián Álvarez. Another priority is signing a goalkeeper to serve as backup for David Raya.
