Zelensky honors Colombian volunteers for heroic march to fellow soldiers

At the command post of the 20th Army Corps, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with military personnel involved in the liberation of the temporarily occupied territories of the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by "Glavkom," citing the Office of the President.

Commander of the 20th Army Corps Sviatoslav Zaits provided an update on the situation in the defense zone.

Development of unmanned technologies

The President discussed with brigade and battalion commanders the issue of strengthening unmanned systems. Particular attention was paid to increasing the effectiveness of medium-range strikes. Zelenskyy assured that this issue would be addressed, and the military expressed their needs regarding specific types of drones and an increase in the number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Financial support and resources for mission execution

The issue of increasing funding for combat battalions, which currently stands at 7 million UAH per battalion, was discussed. They also discussed the need for greater flexibility in selecting equipment to carry out various tasks, ranging from ATVs to heavily armored vehicles. Zelenskyy noted that the military command would seek new approaches to address these issues.

The President thanked the military for their service, presenting them with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky I and III degrees, the Order “For Courage” II–III degrees, and the Order of Danylo Halytskyi, and promoted Sviatoslav Zayets to the rank of brigadier general.
