On Tuesday, October 27, a Ukrainian Cup Round of 16 match will take place, with Shakhtar hosting Dynamo Kyiv. The game will be held at Arena Lviv and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
This match will be the second round of this year’s tournament for both teams. In the previous round, Shakhtar defeated Vilkhivtsi from the Zakarpattia region with a score of 3–0.
Kyiv’s Dynamo also successfully advanced from the round of 32, narrowly defeating Vinnytsia’s Niva 1–0. These teams already faced off in the round of 16 last season, with the Kyiv side emerging victorious 2–1.
The current Ukrainian Cup champion is Dynamo, which defeated Chernihiv in last season’s final to win the trophy for the first time in 14 years. Shakhtar remains the leader in terms of titles, with 15 victories.
Note that matches in this round consist of a single game, and in the event of a tie, the teams will immediately proceed to a penalty shootout.
