Ukraine, together with its European partners, is expanding drone production abroad. Countries such as Norway, the Netherlands, Romania, and Germany have already joined this initiative.
This is discussed in an RBC-Ukraine article titled "Drone Diplomacy: How Ukraine Is Launching Arms Exports Through Drone Deals and What This Will Bring."
The framework for cooperation with Europe is clearly structured: the Ukrainian side provides combat experience, a finished product, and rapid technological updates. European partners provide funding, manufacturing capacity, certification, and market access.
“This is a process of unification where Ukraine is viewed as an equal partner, and sometimes even as a partner with greater experience,” notes Valery Yakovenko, an expert on drones and robotics.
Also, in June of last year, the Build with Ukraine initiative was launched, which involves opening production lines on the territory of allies where there is no threat of shelling.
Where concrete agreements already exist
Ihor Fedirko, executive director of the Ukrainian Arms Manufacturers Council, highlights several key areas. “First is Germany. This is one of the most practical avenues for joint production,” he emphasizes.
