In March, the Pension Fund of Ukraine allocated 74.6 billion hryvnias for pension payments, which is significantly more than in February. This was reported by the Pension Fund’s press service, as cited by RBC-Ukraine.
March results: where the funds went
As of the end of March, the Pension Fund had fully funded the main social programs:
- Pension payments: 74.6 billion hryvnias, of which 65.2 billion hryvnias were transferred through authorized banks, and 9.4 billion hryvnias through Ukrposhta.
- Housing subsidies and benefits: 4.6 billion UAH.
- Insurance payments: 3.8 billion UAH, including 2.6 billion UAH for sick leave payments.
- State benefits and other payments: 11.7 billion UAH.
Additionally, during March, the Fund’s offices provided 1,726,500 services to citizens who contacted the PFU.
Changes in funding
Compared to February, spending on social services increased significantly:
- Pensions: In March, UAH 6.1 billion more was allocated for payments than in February (UAH 74.6 billion versus UAH 68.5 billion).
- Insurance payments: Increased by 200 million UAH (3.8 billion UAH in March versus 3.6 billion UAH in February).
- Sick leave: Expenditures increased by 300 million UAH compared to the previous month.
- Services: In March, 169,400 more people applied to the Pension Fund of Ukraine than in February.
