The 33rd annual “Run Under the Chestnut Trees” charity event, dedicated to Kyiv Day, took place in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The event was organized by the Ukrainian Embassy with the support of the local community.
The patriotic sporting event took place on May 31 in Lumpini Park, located in the center of Bangkok. The organizers emphasized that this charity initiative aims to raise awareness about congenital heart defects and ways to address them. In 2026, the funds raised will be used to purchase a video laryngoscope for the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Ukrainian diplomats emphasized that the “Run Under the Chestnut Trees” is not only a sporting event but also a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian nation, which unites and supports one another, no matter where we are.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand expressed its gratitude to the Thai side for their support in organizing the event, as well as to all participants from Ukraine and Thailand who joined this important humanitarian initiative.
