Russia’s attack on the Kyiv region on the evening of May 2 was unusual. The occupiers used “Parody” decoy drones to distract Ukraine’s air defense forces.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Defense Minister Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov's advisor on Telegram. These drones are tasked with distracting Ukraine's air defense forces, which is why dozens of such drones were circling over the Kyiv region.

"The enemy is constantly testing new tactics for using drones. The task of the Defense Forces is to analyze, study, predict, and, of course, counteract," noted the advisor to the Minister of Defense.
As a reminder, explosions were heard in Kyiv on the evening of May 2. Air defense systems were activated—the city was attacked by Russian drones. At that time, monitors recorded a large number of drones heading toward the capital.
