Zelenskyy Warns of Threats in Russian Airspace

In his address on September 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian airspace would no longer be safe, emphasizing the risks to civil aviation. He called on international aviation and insurance companies to pay attention to potential threats in Russian airspace.

According to journalistic sources, this marks the start of an operation codenamed “M&M’s,” aimed at paralyzing air traffic using autonomous drones. The primary target is the Moscow aviation hub, which handles 60–70% of international and domestic flights in Russia.

Experts note that for the operation to succeed, Ukraine needs to gather detailed data on Russia’s air defense system and the capabilities of its airports. According to experts, if successfully carried out, this could cause significant economic problems for Russia.
