The American corporation Apple is developing a unique artificial intelligence language model tailored for the Chinese market.
According to Reuters, citing its sources, this model was created in collaboration with Alibaba Group, and its training is supported by the Chinese tech giant.
Previously, Apple used AI models from American partners to implement generative artificial intelligence on iPhones and other devices sold in China. However, models such as Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s ChatGPT are currently unavailable in China, which prompted Apple to develop its own technology.
Apple Intelligence is expected to launch in China in the coming months following an iOS update. This model, tailored to the specifics of the Chinese market, will allow Apple to strengthen its position in this competitive market, where local companies such as Huawei already have significant advantages thanks to their phones with integrated AI.
