The fight between former world boxing champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua may not take place due to ongoing issues. The Ring insider Mike Coppinger reported that the possibility of replacing this bout with other fights is being considered, specifically a matchup between Terence Crawford and Ryan Garcia.
Fury confirmed the existence of these issues in an Instagram post, pointing to objections raised by Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, regarding the involvement of Zuffa Boxing CEO Dana White in organizing the boxing event.
The boxers did not hesitate to voice their opinions, telling Hirn that they risk losing the opportunity to stage one of the most significant fights in boxing history. According to Fury, the situation has caused widespread outrage.
The bout is scheduled for December 11 in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium, with the WBA Super heavyweight title on the line, which became vacant following the retirement of Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk.
Details of the contract for the fight between Fury and Joshua had also been released earlier, but now its future is in doubt.
