The monobank app has introduced an innovative feature that allows users to block unwanted transfers from specific individuals. This news was announced by the bank’s co-founder, Oleg Gorokhovsky, according to “Glavkom.”
Gorokhovsky explained that the introduction of this feature was a response to requests from customers who had complained about unwanted messages in the comments section of transfers. He noted that some users had encountered situations where former partners, whom they had blocked on other platforms, attempted to contact them via bank transfers.
“We’re introducing a new feature—blocking an ex,” said the co-founder of monobank. However, the ability to block is not limited to such cases.
Users can block transfers from anyone if they seem unwanted. This can be done in the details of a specific transfer within the app. Gorokhovsky also urged users not to abuse the feature, as few people are willing to spend money just to send a message to another user.
Earlier, in March, Oleg Gorokhovsky found himself at the center of a scandal after a photo of a female client was published during a video verification. Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada’s Human Rights Commissioner, announced the opening of an investigation into a possible violation of laws on the protection of personal data and banking secrecy.
