In Sumy, the number of casualties from the nighttime drone attack has risen to 13, including one child.
According to Serhiy Kryvosheyko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, in a post on his Telegram channel, the city came under a massive strike by Russian “Gerbera”-type drones. The attack lasted three hours last night.
“As of now, we have 13 casualties, including one child,” Kryvosheyko noted. All victims received medical assistance; two were hospitalized. The child was treated on-site and declined hospitalization.
It is also reported that at additional locations, eight more residents sustained minor injuries and received medical care on-site. As a result of the attack, four locations were affected, with roofs damaged, over 300 windows in high-rise buildings shattered, as well as damage to gas infrastructure and power supply.
Temporary shelter has been provided for the victims. This morning, response teams began work to address the aftermath of the enemy attacks. Emergency repair work is currently underway, and specialists are advising residents.
As a reminder, three people were killed and 22 others were injured in the Sumy region over the past day, including children.
