On September 27, in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, a Russian drone struck a nine-story residential building. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that emergency services had been dispatched to the scene.
The strike was carried out by a jet-powered drone, which hit the building at the 4th or 5th-floor level on Revutskogo Street, across from Lake Soniachne. One woman was injured in the attack; details of the incident are currently being clarified.
During the same attack, another jet-powered drone struck an administrative building in the Holosiivskyi district, where emergency services are also working to determine the circumstances.
Today’s attack is part of an ongoing Russian campaign that has resulted in casualties: one man was killed, and a woman and two teenagers were injured in another strike in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
Recently, a drone also caused a fire in a five-story building in the Solomyanskyi district, while on September 25, a jet-powered drone struck a high-rise building in Pechersk. Earlier, on September 9, the Darnytskyi district had already experienced a similar attack when a Russian drone struck a 24-story building.
