Major General Mykhailo Drapatiy has officially assumed the duties of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He expressed his support for the president’s decision to appoint Ihor Skybyuk as Chief of the General Staff.
Drapatiy announced this on his Facebook page, noting: “Today I have assumed the duties of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Major General Ihor Skybyuk, former commander of the Airborne Assault Forces, will serve as Chief of the General Staff on my team. I thank the President of Ukraine for his trust in this decision.”
