The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shot down 298 of the 339 drones used by the Russians to attack Ukraine since the evening of March 31.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force shared this information on its Telegram channel. Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, the enemy launched 339 Shahed, "Gerbera," "Italmas," and other types of attack drones from various directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 200 of these drones were Shahed-type.
Air force and air defense units repelled the attack
The attacks were repelled with the help of aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
By the morning of Wednesday, April 1, air defense forces had neutralized 298 drones of various types in the north, south, east, west, and center of the country. There were reports of 20 drone strikes at 11 locations and debris falling at 5 locations.
Consequences of the attack
About 20 enemy drones remain in the air. As reported, Russian drones destroyed a Nova Poshta terminal in Lutsk, and debris from a drone damaged an apartment building. In the Myrhorod district of Poltava region, one person was injured as a result of the attack.
